The WORDPRO Advantage
The WORDPRO's high-speed digital copiers and printers use laser technology to bring you 600-dpi print quality for text, photographs and graphics. Besides its ultra-sharp resolution, The WORDPRO's digital printing equipment delivers up to 4,096 levels of shading that can be adjusted to ensure image satisfaction for every job. And at a rate of 360 copies per minute, this equipment is capable of handling printing jobs from the simplest to the most complex!

Quality and Features
The WORDPRO's digital printers (based on Hewlett-Packard and Canon print engines) are the most versatile xerographic printers on the market today, combining traditional copying capabilities for handling hard-copy originals, with a full-digital feature set for customers with digital documents.

For projects originating from hard copy originals, masters need only be scanned in once, eliminating both wear and tear on originals and document feeder-caused quality problems that arise with traditional copying equipment. For projects originating from digital files, the elimination of masters means that every print is a 600 dpi original.

For both types of projects, a full range of capabilities means greater flexibility for you. Image-handling capabilities of this technology include: image clean-up, reducing, enlarging, photo screening, cropping, masking, rotating, in-line collating, moving of text and graphics, automatic signaturing, and more!

Cost
You can reduce your printing costs substantially when you choose digital xerographic printing over traditional copying and offset methods. Xerographic printing does not require the making of plates, as does offset printing. State-of-the-art digital technology means that images are scanned or transmitted electronically into memory, to be stored for further use. Data only needs to be input once, reducing much of the setup time involved in traditional printing and copying methods. And less setup time means lower costs for you.

File Storage Capacity...
By allowing us to store files in memory and print directly from the stored file, the new generation of digital printing equipment changes the way businesses conduct their printing operations. The number of copies printed, inventory levels, cash flow for printed materials, time scheduling, and market control are all affected by this new feature.

...Means True Printing on Demand
Printing on demand is an old concept in the printing industry, but a new reality! With our technology, additional copies of any job on file can be printed at any time. This feature is especially important for companies that print manuals or books for distribution to outside users. If you are at all unsure of the demand of your market, you can print 700 copies of your document one week, and 1000 copies the next. There is no additional setup charge for this service.

...Means Reduced Inventory
The need to project exactly what your market will need, with regard to stocking your printed materials, is no longer necessary. You'll never have to worry again about over- or under-stocking. The WORDPRO's print-on-demand service puts you back in control of your inventory levels.

...Means Reduced Up-Front Costs
Thanks to our file storage capability and print-on-demand service, you don't have to lay out huge amounts of cash at the beginning of your printing venture. With offset printing, you were locked into doing just that. Many of those dollars you had to expend up front were never returned due to unused or outdated inventory. In today's fluctuating market, you need a guaranteed return on your printing dollars, without having to estimate the outcome.

Fast Turnaround of Your Projects
With a print capacity of 21600 pages per hour, our digital printing equipment is the fastest on the market today! And if you make use of our internet access and our delivery service, you can get your job to us and delivered back without leaving your office!

Digital File Preparation Guidelines
Send your digital files to us and have each copy printed as an original! The WORDPRO's all-digital, 600 dpi, black toner, high speed printers have an output quality comparable to that of the best offset presses.

The easiest way to have your digital file printed is to submit it in PDF format. To convert your file into a PDF file, open it in Adobe Acrobat Distiller or use the free PDF995 (see File Upload section) and save as a PDF. Your exact fonts, preferences, line endings, and other related settings will be preserved for a perfect print.

The WORDPRO is moving toward a goal of requiring all customers to submit digital files in PDF format. This would eliminate almost all problems related to moving files between machines and speed the processing of customer files for printing.

Alternately, follow the guidelines below for submitting digital files for printing.

  • Do not use a hard hyphen to split a word at the end of a line.
  • Include all linked tables, charts, and graphics with your transmission as separate files (if they are not embedded).
